This program is designed for students seeking to enhance their knowledge of biblical studies, including those aiming to pursue doctoral research. It focuses on expanding and deepening proficiency in biblical languages.
Advanced language abilities form the core of the program's approach to studying the Bible, its historical context, and subsequent interpretations. The curriculum offers specialized study of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament, along with the ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean civilizations, plus related texts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Instruction comes from distinguished scholars specializing in Hebrew Scripture, New Testament studies, early Judaism, and early Christianity.
Students will participate in weekly biblical research seminars and have access to our Center for the Study of Christian Origins.

A UK 2:1 honours degree, a minimum US 3.25 GPA, or its international equivalent, in theology/religious studies or a related field in which biblical studies features prominently.
IELTS Academic: total 7.0 with at least 6.0 in each component.
TOEFL-iBT (including Home Edition): total 100 with at least 20 in each component. We do not accept TOEFL MyBest Score to meet our English language requirements.
