All applicants must possess the following
At least a 2:2 Honours degree (and/or higher degree) or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University, in
Theology or Religious Studies or
a joint honours with Theology or Religious Studies where at least half of the content of the degree is deemed relevant to the teaching of Religious Education (RE) in the context of Northern Ireland or
a cognate area of Theology or Religious Studies where at least half of the content of the degree is deemed relevant to the teaching of RE in the context of Northern Ireland
At the time of application, GCSE Mathematics grade C4, and GCSE English Language grade C4 or equivalent qualification. (Please note Essential Skills Level 2 qualifications are not regarded as equivalent for entry to this professional course as the professional accrediting authority, the GTCNI, does not recognise them as equivalent.)
IELTS 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
TOEFL iBT 90 with minimum marks as follows- Listening - 17 Reading - 18 Speaking - 20 Writing - 17
