Our Philosophy and Politics program offers the flexibility to balance both fields equally or emphasize one over the other, with diverse module options in each discipline.
Beyond studying these subjects independently, you'll explore their intersections. UEA's philosophy faculty specializes in global challenges affecting our planet and future generations. While examining Western intellectual traditions—from Ancient Greek thought to contemporary political theory—you'll also engage with world philosophies through modules featuring thinkers from the Middle East and Asia. Additional philosophical study areas include literature, film, and art.
In political theory, you'll examine democracy's foundational ideas, ideological conflicts, and the philosophical roots of utopian political models with our expert faculty.
