This program allows you to combine two selected languages (French, German, or Spanish) with an exploration of English literary history spanning from medieval times to modern works. The English literature component begins with foundational knowledge before progressing to specialized modules tailored to your interests.
Diverse course options enable studies ranging from Shakespearean works to sci-fi, Romantic poetry to modern verse, or classic Victorian novels to cinematic adaptations. Our pioneering comics studies program includes modules examining connections between graphic novels and traditional literary classics.
Initial instruction focuses on fundamental skills like poetic analysis and critical reading of novels, advancing to comprehensive literary historical surveys. Later studies delve deeper into specific eras, movements, and themes introduced earlier. Our curriculum reflects the varied academic expertise of our faculty members.
