We welcome research proposals that examine theoretical, linguistic, and technical dimensions of translation and interpreting. Current PhD projects in Translation Studies cover diverse topics such as humor translation in video games, gender stereotype subtitling, British/American sci-fi translation, reflexivity in translation studies, and political speech translation. Interested applicants should first submit the Online Enquiry Form for review at our upcoming PhD supervisors meeting. Due to limited availability, we can only support exceptional proposals to proceed with formal UCL applications. Your enquiry must include a comprehensive 500-word project summary. For guidance on crafting research proposals, refer to the 'Need to Know' section on our Postgraduate Research page. Please await a response to your initial enquiry before submitting any formal application to UCL.
