At Nottingham, Translation Studies and Linguistics form the core of our Modern Languages program. Our research spans multiple languages including Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovene, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and Chinese. We explore diverse areas from historical and sociolinguistics to applied linguistics, translation studies, interpreting, and language teaching methodologies. Our work is organized through the Centre for Translation and Comparative Cultural Studies and conducted in partnership with our extensive Language Centre.
