The Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology (LMCB) at University College London focuses on investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cell behavior related to human diseases. This four-year PhD program in Molecular Cell Biology at LMCB offers comprehensive training in molecular cell biology and core biomedical science principles. Students gain hands-on experience conducting pioneering research in a globally recognized setting. Key features include first-year rotations across three distinct labs and a customized tutorial series. Our training aims to cultivate scientists who specialize deeply in one research area while maintaining broad knowledge across molecular and cell biology disciplines. Graduates develop the ability to critically transition between different analytical levels and foster an understanding of translational research impacting human health. First-year participants select three LMCB research groups for three-month rotations, undertaking specialized projects in each.
