Cell biology focuses on studying cells and their organelles, examining their structure, function, physiology, signaling pathways, stress responses, and communication mechanisms, along with their applications in disease diagnosis and treatment. Our work combines knowledge in cell biology, structural biology, signaling, and model organism research. As a globally recognized hub, we explore core principles of human physiology using cutting-edge techniques.
Our methodologies include biochemical, behavioral, electrophysiological, molecular, structural, and advanced imaging approaches (such as multiphoton confocal, spinning disk, light sheet, and 3D electron microscopy). These techniques are applied to mammalian cell systems and model organisms like Caenorhabditis elegans, Drosophila melanogaster, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and Dictyostelium.
Our vibrant research environment thrives through growing partnerships with clinical researchers seeking cell-based and targeted therapeutic solutions.
