This four-year undergraduate program integrates Scandinavian Studies from the UCL School of European Languages, Culture and Society with Philosophy from UCL's Philosophy Department. Students can select from diverse course options covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophical thought, artistic expression, cinema, and various cultural aspects tied to their chosen Scandinavian language(s). During the first, second, and final academic years, learners will engage with language courses alongside related cultural, historical, literary, and linguistic studies. Philosophy modules are also included (see the Philosophy department's website for comprehensive information about UCL's Philosophy offerings).
Additionally, students can enroll in interdisciplinary courses provided by the School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS), which incorporate expertise from across the school's various specializations.
