Our degree program in Romanian and Portuguese provides extensive opportunities to explore comparative and intercultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants engage in language instruction alongside cultural studies modules. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary courses from SELCS and SSEES, covering literature, film studies, linguistics, and historical analysis.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning a new language or building upon existing skills.
