Our Finnish and Yiddish studies program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, historical contexts, social sciences, philosophical thought, artistic expressions, cinema, and various cultural aspects tied to their language studies. Throughout the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, learners may enroll in interdisciplinary courses from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and the School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES), exploring connections between literature, film studies, language science, and historical research.
