The Dance department has built global recognition for its PhD programs focused on Practice as Research, warmly welcoming applicants in this innovative field. Our program thrives within a dynamic research environment featuring guest artists who participate in regular showcases, performances, installations, exhibitions, and our Research Dialogues series. Students can join reading groups and present their work through academic papers or live performances. We invite applications from candidates exploring Dance and related disciplines, whether through conventional academic research or practice-led approaches. Cross-disciplinary research possibilities also exist. Qualification Requirements

The standard requirement for an MPhil/PhD is a first or upper-second honours degree and/or usually a relevant Master's degree. Candidates with other qualifications are considered individually on their merits. All students are interviewed by their potential supervisor(s) and a Research Degree Coordinator or nominated other.
