C-DaRE organizes numerous conferences, symposiums, and research gatherings that draw participants from the UK and around the world. Our biennial Dance and Somatic Practices conference serves as a global platform for scholars and practitioners to exchange innovative ideas through curated panels, presentations, workshops, and performance showcases. Additionally, we host a distinctive event series called C-DaRE Invites, where each gathering offers a one-of-a-kind experience co-created by our team and guest contributors. These events encompass presentations, talks, discussions, practice demonstrations, performances, and film screenings, among other formats. They are free and open to everyone (unless specified otherwise). Participants include C-DaRE affiliates, postgraduate researchers, and invited external academics, artists, and organizations. Every event centers on a theme tied to the guest's ongoing research or interests and is often scheduled around mealtime—breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea—to foster dialogue. We view shared meals as a catalyst for conversation, relationship-building, and collaboration. Accordingly, we provide refreshments for both the presenter and attendees to enjoy together during the event.
