This program specializes in building sustainable coastal communities, with an emphasis on addressing climate change and flood risks - topics of critical importance in today's world. You'll develop the knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on experience needed to work as a qualified urban planner or surveyor.

Combining academic theory with real-world applications, the course teaches you to approach challenges from both local and global perspectives while preparing you to implement solutions in professional settings.

Through examining factors influencing urban development, you'll learn to assess how planning regulations can optimize social, economic, and environmental impacts within built environments.

As the sole RTPI and RICS-accredited program on the south coast, our curriculum benefits from close collaboration with these professional bodies, plus partnerships with the Town and Country Planning Association, Royal Geographic Society, government agencies, local authorities, and EU advisory organizations.
