Our Postgraduate Diploma in High-Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy fulfills a major part of the BABCP's accreditation criteria for cognitive behavioural therapists. This program equips you with both theoretical understanding and practical clinical competencies needed to excel as a psychological therapist.

Jointly funded by Health Education England and local NHS Commissioners, this High-Intensity Diploma offers specialized postgraduate training for High-Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapists within NHS Talking Therapies. The curriculum focuses on developing students' expertise to practice competently as psychological therapists, consistently applying evidence-based CBT techniques in clinical settings.

Building on the achievements of the NHS Talking Therapies program in primary mental healthcare, ongoing efforts aim to sustain current services while expanding into additional areas where psychological therapies could prove beneficial. Potential expansion areas encompass various mental health services, addiction treatment programs, and physical healthcare settings. To ensure success, trainees commit to two weekly university days plus three clinical placement days with supervision. Optimal placements occur within NHS Talking Therapies services, with funding exclusively available for those placed in designated NHS Talking Therapies or NHS-commissioned service providers.
