In this program, you'll examine and evaluate research theories, methodologies, and frameworks addressing critical societal issues like climate change and sustainability. Focusing on both quantitative and qualitative research techniques, you'll develop fundamental skills to advance your academic pursuits or professional research career. By the end of this course, you will be able to: critically assess sustainability research literature across multiple fields, grasp the connections between theoretical concepts and practical applications in sustainability and responsibility, deeply understand major discussions surrounding environmental crises and system resilience, and gain comprehensive knowledge of contemporary sustainability topics across disciplines. You'll improve your ability to analyze large datasets and effectively communicate important discoveries. This program offers rigorous preparation for prospective PhD candidates while equipping students with valuable research competencies sought after in various public and private sector positions.
You should have a bachelor’s honours degree or international equivalent, typically a 2:1 or above. To apply for this course you should have an undergraduate degree in an appropriate social sciences subject such as psychology, sociology, geography, policy studies or socio-legal studies. IELTS: 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in all components. The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): 62 with no less than 59 in any element. TOEFL IBT: 90 overall with a minimum 21 in all 4 components.
