The Master of Research (MRes) program from the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences delivers a comprehensive one-year research training. This program serves both as preparation for PhD studies and as a standalone research qualification. Its primary objective is to equip graduate students with research methodology knowledge, technical skill development, and scholarly competencies including critical analysis and discipline-specific writing. Students select and undertake a defined research project, with the curriculum designed to support their investigative work. This program bridges the gap between undergraduate education and doctoral studies by cultivating essential research capabilities, reflecting the growing global preference for Master's-level preparation before PhD enrollment.
