We are renowned for pioneering research across diverse fields, particularly in policy-focused analyses of worldwide socioeconomic and cultural shifts, as well as fragile ecological systems. You'll collaborate with distinguished faculty members who play key roles in shaping policy discussions within the UK Government, EU, and various global institutions. Our program offers both PhD and MPhil study options. These degrees vary in length and research scope. A PhD requires you to produce significant, original contributions to your field of study, while an MPhil involves independent research with a narrower focus than a PhD, culminating in a Master of Philosophy qualification. There may be opportunities to transition from an MPhil to a PhD during your studies.
