The MPhil/PhD program in our School of Social Sciences provides students with the chance to work alongside globally renowned scholars while investigating health-related topics.
This program examines how historical, literary, and artistic approaches can be applied to understanding health and medical care. A key specialization lies in disability studies, including an ongoing oral history project documenting thalidomide's impact. Research topics span diverse subjects, from childbirth experiences to portrayals of disability in Welsh literature after World War II.
