The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Oxford Brookes University is delighted to welcome applications for the Sasakawa Masters by Research Studentship in Japanese studies, generously funded by The Nippon Foundation and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
Oxford Brookes University provides extensive expertise in Japanese culture and language studies, with particular interest in applicants focusing on topics such as aging and eldercare, vulnerable or disadvantaged communities, modern Buddhist practices and religious traditions, cinema, or mass media. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences hosts the Europe Japan Research Centre and stands among the few UK institutions offering specialized programs in the Anthropology of Japan.
