Our research focuses on algebra, analysis, probability, statistical methods, and medical/social statistics.
Students meet weekly with their supervisor, with additional informal interactions. Postgraduate teaching occurs through intensive APTS lectures (Statistics, on/off-campus) or MAGIC video-linked courses (Pure Mathematics, term-length). Supplementary lectures or guided reading address any skill deficiencies. We encourage seminar participation, which offers valuable presentation practice, feedback opportunities, and helps shape future research directions.

Qualification Requirements
2:1 Hons degree (UK or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or a combination of the two. We normally require an IELTS (Academic) Test with an overall score of at least 6.5, and a minimum of 6.0 in each element of the test. ToEFL IBT or ToEFL IBT Home Edition with an overall score of at least 87, with a minimum of 19 in reading, 19 in listening, 19 in speaking and 22 in writing.
