C-DaRE organizes numerous conferences, symposiums, and research gatherings that draw participants from the UK and around the world. Our biennial Dance and Somatic Practices conference serves as a global platform for scholars and practitioners to exchange innovative ideas through curated panels, presentations, workshops, and performance showcases. Additionally, we host a distinctive event series called C-DaRE Invites, where each gathering offers a one-of-a-kind experience co-created by our team and guest contributors. These events encompass presentations, lectures, dialogues, practice demonstrations, performances, and film screenings, among other formats. They are free and accessible to everyone (unless specified otherwise). Speakers feature C-DaRE affiliates, postgraduate researchers, and external guests such as scholars, artists, and institutions. Every session centers on themes aligned with the invitee's ongoing research and passions, often scheduled around mealtimes—breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea—to foster connection. We view shared meals as a catalyst for dialogue, relationship-building, and collaboration, so we provide refreshments for both presenters and attendees to enjoy together during the event.
