The Doctor of Philosophy degree is granted to individuals who have thoroughly examined and assessed an authorized subject, thereby creating a unique and autonomous addition to existing knowledge. Their work must include a substantial research, creative, or analytical element that is, in whole or part, publishable material. Candidates are also required to exhibit proficiency in research methodologies relevant to their chosen discipline. Typically, the doctoral dissertation ranges from 40,000 to 80,000 words, varying by field of study and research focus.
