The Centre for Research in Arts and Creative Exchange (CRACE) seeks to explore the evolving nature of arts research in today's context, while pioneering new approaches to research methodologies.
Rooted in principles of inclusivity, partnership, and empowerment, the Centre builds upon existing expertise spanning dance, performance, digital media, photography, filmmaking, curation, transmediation, gender studies, and global arts. This initiative isn't about standardization, but rather an evolving endeavor to continually reshape our varied methodologies. We focus on transformative, forward-looking work that crosses disciplines and is grounded in advancing social and political progress.
Current member projects encompass health and wellness initiatives, art as activism, international dance histories, BIPOC perspectives in performance and media, and critical examinations of creative technologies and production methods.
