The Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSocSc) pushes you to reconsider your perspectives on global societies and their inhabitants. This program examines modern societal challenges, human responses to these issues, and methods for observing and adjusting such behaviors. Your BSocSc studies will be guided by one of three academic units—the School of Arts and School of Social Sciences, Te Kura Toi Tangata School of Education, or the Faculty ofMaori and Indigenous Studies—depending on your chosen specialization. As a BSocSc student, you'll investigate the motivations and factors shaping human behavior and societal patterns. Under the mentorship of internationally renowned scholars, you'll hone essential skills in critical thinking, research methodologies, data collection, interpretation, reporting, and evidence-based decision-making.
Graduates will possess the tools to enhance future communities by seeing past assumptions, comprehending the connections between social dynamics, economics, and governance, and preparing to lead meaningful transformations. The BSocSc program fundamentally reshapes how you perceive our world and its diverse populations.
