The MLitt serves as an alternative to a PhD for those holding a master's degree who wish to pursue an extensive research endeavor. This program is available across most disciplines within the Faculty of Arts, pending approval and supervisory availability. You may choose to deepen your expertise in your previous master's field or explore a completely new research area. The MLitt can enhance various academic or professional paths, particularly for those not pursuing doctoral studies. Entry requirements include a BA(Hons) or PGDipArts in Drama or Drama Studies with a minimum Grade Point Average of 5.0, or consent from the Drama Coordinator. Related fields like Creative Writing, English, Theatre, and Writing Studies may also qualify for admission.
You need to have completed a masters degree in any discipline from a recognised university (or similar institution) with a GPE of 4.0 or higher.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
