This hands-on, field-oriented program equips you with the essential abilities to grow into a skilled, knowledgeable, and thoughtful early childhood educator dedicated to supporting young children's learning and growth. The program allows you to work a minimum of 12 hours weekly at an early childhood center while studying, alongside attending campus twice weekly to connect teaching methods with theoretical knowledge. Our faculty offers continuous personal support, complemented by various on-campus student assistance resources. Throughout the three-year program, you'll complete practical training with 10-week placements at your own center and 12-week placements at our partner centers. Upon completion, you'll qualify for teacher registration in Aotearoa New Zealand.
All applicants must be at least 16 years of age when they begin their studies.
Successful completion of Year 13 (NCEA Level 3) with minimum of with minimum of 48 credits (approx) 42 credits (approx) or
International Baccalaureate score 24+ or
Cambridge International Examination (CIE) 120 points on UCAS tariff
English Language Requirements:
Evidence of an overall IELTS (Academic) band score of at least 7.0 in each band
University Entrance Literacy: 10 Credits at NCEA Level 2 or above in English or Maori (5 in reading, 5 in writing)
