The Structured Masters by Research program cultivates research capabilities through a rigorous, well-supported curriculum. Foundational courses immerse students in postgraduate academia while fostering ethical research practices. Participants choose specialized research modules aligned with their academic goals, guided by a dedicated supervisor. The program culminates with an original research thesis.
This research-focused master's program builds essential skills through a carefully designed learning framework. The flexible structure accommodates working professionals and graduates seeking research-based advancement. The curriculum includes three core modules, elective options, and a substantial thesis component.
Introductory core modules connect students with academic communities while establishing ethical research standards. Each semester features one core module requiring minimal contact hours (3-4 days spread throughout the term), with schedules published well in advance for planning convenience.
Students personalize their journey by selecting relevant research electives from university offerings, typically choosing one research-focused and one specialization module. Academic advisors assist in tailoring module selections, with flexible formats including intensive study weeks and self-directed options. The program concludes with an original thesis completed under supervisor guidance.
This pathway also serves as a stepping stone to the structured PhD program. Completed master's modules fulfill most doctoral teaching requirements, while the acquired research skills prepare students for PhD-level work.
