This four-year, full-time Structured PhD program enables students to conduct educational research aligned with the School of Education's key focus areas. The School's research clusters (1. Diversity and Inclusion in Education, and 2. Technology-enhanced Learning) explore several important topics: increasing access to higher education, diversity in teacher training programs, special needs education, gender studies in education, educational leadership, mobile learning technologies, and STEM education. We welcome applications from qualified candidates whose research interests match the School's ongoing projects in these areas.
The Structured PhD combines an original research dissertation, intended to produce publishable findings, with specialized coursework that enhances research skills and professional growth. Education PhD candidates also participate in exclusive seminars and workshops tailored for doctoral researchers. Each student receives guidance from a dedicated supervisor and support from a Graduate Research Committee (GRC) throughout their studies.
