The four-year Bachelor of Civil Law and Business program enables students to pursue a comprehensive legal education while gaining expertise in key business areas including Business & Commercial Law, Accounting, Economics, Management, and Digital Business & Analytics. Graduates will develop both legal expertise and business acumen, equipping them for corporate legal careers. The curriculum covers all necessary modules for the Law Society of Ireland entrance exams for aspiring solicitors. Those aiming to become barristers can follow the Legal Professions specialization to meet the Honourable Society of King's Inns requirements. The program emphasizes practical legal skills development, including research, writing, public speaking, and advocacy.
In their final year, students can tailor their studies by selecting a specialization from these options: Accounting, Economics
Digital Business and Analytics, Language: Legal French, Legal Spanish, Legal German or Teanga an Dl (Legal Irish)
Law and Innovation, Legal Professions, Management, or General Studies
Career Prospects
Law and Business graduates will have diverse career opportunities based on their chosen specialization. All graduates will be prepared for corporate legal roles.
This degree qualifies graduates to take the Law Society of Ireland professional exams (for solicitors). Those completing the Legal Professions specialization will be eligible for the Honourable Society of King's Inns barrister entrance examinations.
Minimum Grade H5 in two subjects and passes in four other subjects at O6/H7 level in the Leaving Certificate including Irish, English, Mathematics, and another language, and any two other subjects recognised for entry purposes.
English Language Requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component; Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE): 176 overall; Cambridge C2 Advanced (CPE): 180 overall; TOEFL: 88 overall (7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading); Pearson PTE: 61 overall, no less than 48 in any one component.
