The taxation curriculum takes a hands-on, application-focused approach while treating taxation as a legal field grounded in legal theory. The degree is structured to mirror the growing convergence between legal practice and business.
As the sole Law and Taxation dual-degree option in the mid-west area, it creates diverse career pathways for alumni. Recognized with group 1 accreditation by the Irish Taxation Institute, graduates qualify for exemptions across all Part 1 examinations. The curriculum thoroughly prepares students for the Law Society of Ireland's entrance assessments.
Leaving Certificate
A minimum of 2 H5 & 406/H7 grades in six Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English or Irish.
Mature Applicants
Candidates applying as mature applicants may be required to attend an interview and may be requested to take an aptitude test to prove their suitability for a place on this programme.
