The Master of Literature (MLitt) is a research-focused degree designed for psychology graduates aiming to progress toward a PhD in applied or experimental studies. This program mirrors many aspects of the structured PhD, offering similar resources and advantages. MLitt students collaborate closely with a faculty supervisor and receive guidance from various support programs and staff to help them navigate their academic journey and reach their professional goals.
Completion of the MLitt usually requires one to two years for full-time students or two to four years for part-time participants. Students conduct a research project and compile their findings into a master's thesis. After one year in the program, candidates may qualify to graduate with an MLitt or transition into the PhD track. Degree assessment involves evaluating the candidate's research, presented in thesis form.
