Our LLM program in Alternative Dispute Resolution immerses students in both the practical application and policy framework of ADR techniques, with a focus on mediation across domestic and international settings. Delivered by renowned academics and experienced mediation professionals, this curriculum offers comprehensive theoretical foundations alongside hands-on training in conflict resolution approaches.
Upon finishing the program, graduates will possess thorough insights into conflict dynamics, the full range of dispute resolution mechanisms, and practical mediation techniques. The course enhances professional capabilities through interactive classroom activities and immersive role-playing scenarios that develop advanced mediation competencies.
Students can alternatively enroll in the Postgraduate Diploma in Law (Alternative Dispute Resolution), designed for legal practitioners and professionals seeking a more flexible commitment than a full master's degree. Diploma graduates have the opportunity to advance to the LLM by completing a research dissertation.
Applicants must have an NFQ, Level 8 Degree in Law with at least a Second-Class Honours Grade 1; OR have a Second-Class Honours Grade 1 in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) in areas including, but not restricted to, Law, Business, Human Resources, Management, Healthcare, Social Work & Policy, and Construction.
Consideration under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may also be given to applicants who do not meet any of the above academic entry requirements but who have relevant professional experience.
Applications from international candidates are welcome and their qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
