The Higher Diploma in Arts (Spanish) is designed for degree holders seeking intensive study of the subject, available either as a one-year full-time program or spread across two years part-time. This program caters to graduates who may later pursue a master's in Hispanic studies (without an existing honors degree in the field) or those wishing to enhance their qualifications with the Higher Diploma in Arts.
Students enrolled in the Higher Diploma in Arts (Spanish) complete 60 credits worth of modules, selecting from various Spanish language and culture courses as outlined below.
It is intended for those who already have a 3 or 4-year primary degree, preferably in the area of Arts or the Sciences, and who wish to study the subject Spanish intensively over one academic year.
The Higher Diploma in Arts is a conversion programme. You will have some background knowledge of Spanish, but will not normally have studied Spanish language or culture to honours degree level previously.
Duolingo English Test: DET 120 (with a minimum score of 110 in each individual section)
IELTS: 6.5 Overall; 6.0 Individual Skills (academic version)
