The Children's and General Nursing program offers outstanding opportunities to enhance your expertise in pediatric and general nursing practice, fostering independent thinking, critical analysis, and problem-solving abilities. You'll learn to deliver cutting-edge nursing care grounded in the latest evidence-based practices.
Upon earning your BSc (Hons) in Children's and General Nursing, you'll qualify to register as both a pediatric and general nurse with Ireland's Nursing & Midwifery Board (NMBI).
This intensive 4.5-year full-time degree is delivered in collaboration with healthcare providers from both public and private sectors, with each student assigned to a specific provider throughout their studies.
Graduates with this honors degree can immediately begin working as qualified nurses in diverse pediatric or general healthcare environments.
The program's primary objective is to support your personal, intellectual, and professional growth to fulfill all aspects of a dual-qualified nursing practitioner. The curriculum combines shared core modules with other nursing specialties alongside specialized courses exclusive to children's and general nursing students.
Non-EU applicants are expected to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate
Duolingo English Test (DET): DET 120 with a minimum score of 120 in each individual section.
IELTS - International English Language Testing System/ IELTS Indicator Test: Minimum overall score of 6.5 and a minimum of 6.5 in each band
TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition Test: TOEFL 90 (Listening 23; Reading 21; Speaking 22; Writing 23)
University of Cambridge: 176 overall with not less than 176 in each element of the test
Pearson PTE Academic: Minimum of 63 (with at least 63 for each item in the Communicative Skills section)
