Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing represents a specialized area in healthcare, focusing on personalized interpersonal care that respects individual differences. These nurses play a vital role in advancing mental wellness, preventing disorders, and supporting those with psychological conditions. For those pursuing healthcare professions, nursing offers particularly fulfilling opportunities. Given human complexity, nursing roles present significant challenges while providing immense personal satisfaction. Our Psychiatric Nursing Program takes place in modern, dedicated facilities, with clinical training occurring across southeastern hospitals. The four-year curriculum follows our KSVSE framework (Knowledge, Science, Values and Attitudes, Skills and Experience). Graduates meeting all requirements become eligible for Psychiatric Nurse registration with An Bord Altranais.
