The BSc (Hons) in Food Marketing & Entrepreneurship blends business and scientific studies, equipping graduates with expertise for thriving in a vibrant industry. In the first three years, you'll explore diverse subjects such as Food Business, Marketing, Food Policy, Management, Economics, Microbiology, Accounting, Law, and Nutrition through various modules.
This comprehensive curriculum fosters a versatile skill set for careers in the evolving food sector and beyond. It cultivates innovation and entrepreneurial abilities, deepens understanding of food and nutrition sciences, hones business assessment skills, and enhances awareness of consumer trends and marketing approaches.
During Year 3, you can opt for a 6-month professional placement to gain hands-on experience. Alternatively, eligible students may participate in the Erasmus program, completing their research project at partner institutions in France (Rennes 1), Germany (Konstanz), Italy (Bologna), or the Netherlands (Utrecht).
In your final year, alongside essential business courses, you'll select specialized modules matching your career aspirations. The program accommodates students without prior science or business background by introducing all subjects at foundational level. Graduates develop strategic decision-making, innovation, enterprise, and knowledge management capabilities through interdisciplinary learning that fosters both personal growth and business success.
This program addresses real-world business challenges while immersing students in theoretical frameworks and practical applications. Learning incorporates collaborative projects, individual assignments, and international exchange opportunities. Drawing on UCC's global standing in food education, the program features instruction from world-renowned experts in their respective fields.
Non-EU applicants are expected to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate
Duolingo English Test (DET): DET 120 with a minimum score of 110 in each individual section
IELTS - International English Language Testing System/ IELTS Indicator Test: Minimum overall score of 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL iBT/TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition Test: Minimum overall score of 90 and minimum of 20 in each section
University of Cambridge: 176+ on the Cambridge English scale with no less than 169 in each skill and use of English i.e.

Pearson PTE Academic: Minimum of 63 (with at least 59 for each item in the Communicative Skills section)
