Our research spans diverse outputs and thematic areas. Faculty members pursue practice-led investigations, producing theatrical productions, musical works, and documentary films that examine theoretical concepts through creative expression. Simultaneously, we maintain strong dedication to traditional scholarly publications. We champion the integration of research with teaching to enhance student education. The School's research initiatives focus on three principal aims: Irish Arts, Global Arts, and Digital Arts. As part of Trinity Long Room Hub - the university's institute for arts and humanities - we contribute significantly to its research priorities, especially Irish Cultural Development, Evolving Identities, and Artistic Practice. The School offers three MPhil degree programs and fosters a vibrant postgraduate research community. Term-time features weekly Creative Arts seminars where faculty and graduate students present works-in-progress for constructive discussion. These gatherings, along with public lectures by guest speakers, provide valuable forums for intellectual exchange.
