Our research spans diverse outputs and themes. Faculty members pursue practice-based investigations, producing theatrical productions, musical works, and documentary films that examine theoretical concepts through creative expression. Simultaneously, we maintain strong dedication to traditional scholarly publications. We champion research-informed education and student development. The School's research initiatives focus on three principal aims: Ireland & the Arts, Globalisation & the Arts, and Technology & the Arts. As part of Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity's Arts and Humanities Institute, we actively contribute to its research priorities, especially: Making Ireland, Identities in Transformation, and Creative Arts Practice. The School offers three MPhil programs and fosters a vibrant postgraduate research community. During academic terms, we conduct weekly Creative Arts research seminars where faculty and students can present their work and receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment. Additionally, we welcome guest speakers at these and other public engagements.
