Faith holds substantial influence across various cultural, social, and political spheres. Spiritual perspectives, principles, and imagery profoundly impact the formation of societal customs, rituals, and behaviors. This dynamic persists both in multi-faith environments and those primarily influenced by specific belief systems. Religious influences manifest not just in cultural artifacts preserving heritage (including structures, artworks, sacred texts, and writings), but also in modern discussions concerning society's shifting identities in an increasingly diverse religious landscape.
Participants in this program will explore current discussions surrounding topics like political faith's essence and effects, spirituality's relationship with modern society, gender and belief systems, conflict and religion, faith-based human rights considerations, and moral frameworks in governance.
Applicants must have completed a high school qualification equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. General matriculation requirements include pass grades in English, mathematics and a language other than English. Additional requirements may apply for some courses.
