The International Justice LLM program equips students with essential knowledge about global justice systems. This program specifically examines human rights, equity, and societal integration within international legal frameworks. Students gain understanding of the international legal system's functioning and its role in safeguarding marginalized communities, such as minority populations, displaced individuals, and persons with disabilities. The curriculum analyzes existing legal structures and demonstrates their real-world applications.
Instruction occurs through intimate lectures, practical simulations, interactive workshops, and expert-led masterclasses. Beyond core coursework, The School collaborates with distinguished scholars and legal professionals who conduct specialized seminars across diverse legal disciplines during the academic term.
Our institution maintains collaborative relationships with premier international law practices including Matheson and A&L Goodbody. Students may pursue our Postgraduate Placement option, enabling qualified candidates to undertake part-time positions at partner institutions for one semester. Our extensive network includes public and private sector allies such as the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, Irish Penal Reform Trust, Forsa, PrivacyEngine, and Alcohol Action Ireland.
The minimum entry requirement for this programme is a 2:2 overall classification in a Level 8 undergraduate degree. This degree must be in law or a cognate discipline in the humanities, or social/political sciences (including but not limited to business, finance, economics, international relations, sociology, etc).
