The MA and PhD programs in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies focus on our shared passion for exploring performance across theatrical, dance, and cultural political contexts. Our approach involves offering courses that examine performance in both staged settings and daily experiences, revealing its cultural, political, material, and ideological aspects throughout history. By analyzing performances in diverse environments—from theaters and galleries to rituals, media, public spaces, political events, large-scale spectacles, and personal exchanges—we aim to demonstrate how performance can provide insightful commentary on societal issues, thereby shaping forms of public engagement that are both politically aware and ethically conscious.
