The Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Sciences (BBCS) field explores both physiological and information-processing perspectives on behavior, cognition, and perception. Our BBCS labs examine core research questions in human and animal behavior, along with practical applications like virtual reality and low-gravity settings. Key research focuses encompass visual perception, cognitive neuroscience, sensory-motor coordination, learning processes, animal behavior, measurement methodologies, and neuropsychological studies.
Investigative methods range from psychophysics and computational modeling to electrophysiological recordings (single-unit and multi-electrode), neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, VEP), neurological patient studies, movement analysis, and field-based observational research.
