Neuroscience stands as one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving disciplines within the life sciences. At Laurier, we adopt a comprehensive, integrative approach, exploring how behavior, cognition, and the nervous system interact across various species—from fish to humans—and examining phenomena at multiple scales, from populations down to individual cells, across timeframes spanning milliseconds to generations.
Our program immerses you in research immediately, pairing you with a faculty advisor in your first fall semester. Throughout 16 to 24 months, under your advisor's guidance, you'll master research program development, methodological and statistical techniques, presenting findings through talks and posters, and communicating your expertise within the field.

You'll build strong relationships with faculty and peers through intimate courses, research lab collaborations, and frequent departmental gatherings like seminars and journal clubs.
