This course-focused MA program provides students with comprehensive training in both academic and professional aspects of gallery and museum operations. The Curatorial Practices specialization blends theoretical and practical coursework, exposing students to key debates in Museum Studies and visual culture analysis. Participants can choose complementary courses from other Cultural Studies disciplines according to their personal academic interests. The program examines both historical and modern curatorial approaches through seminar discussions, while also offering practical experience via a hands-on Practicum with placements at collaborating art institutions. Graduates specializing in Curatorial Practices will qualify for roles as curators, art historians, critics, or gallery educators in visual arts organizations, cultural institutions, and media fields, or may continue to PhD studies in Art History. These specialized curatorial courses are available to all Cultural Studies students.
