Humber's graduate certificate program in Arts Administration and Cultural Management is designed for individuals looking to merge their love for arts, culture, and heritage with business expertise and leadership abilities. This unique program fosters diverse, cross-disciplinary artistic practices in both performing and visual arts, while building organizational skills in fundraising (earned and donated income), human resource management (artists, volunteers, organizations), strategic planning (financial, long-term, events, career development), and communications (multi-platform, digital, promotional).
The program thrives within Humber's vibrant creative community, surrounded by acclaimed programs in theater, creative writing, visual and digital arts, music, photography, animation, television, and film production. Students acquire real-world expertise through diverse internships across commercial, governmental, and nonprofit arts organizations, plus collaborative final projects that showcase their multifaceted skills to potential employers.
Participants will develop practical industry knowledge through two required fieldwork placements in semesters two and three. Following a preparatory course, students receive guidance in professional self-promotion to secure placements matching their career aspirations.
