The University of Waterloo's MA in Global Governance program breaks free from traditional academic constraints by integrating multiple fields such as economics, political science, historical studies, social sciences, and environmental research. This 16-month program includes two academic terms, followed by a third term dedicated to crafting a Major Research Paper (MRP) on a global governance topic selected by the student. The final term involves an internship placement within government agencies, private organizations, research centers, or non-governmental organizations focused on global governance challenges. Participants may also explore international exchange programs. Today's interconnected world presents multifaceted global issues ranging from peacekeeping efforts and humanitarian emergencies to economic disparities and ecological transformations.
