The University of Waterloo's MA in Global Governance program breaks free from traditional academic constraints by integrating multiple fields such as economics, political science, historical studies, social sciences, and environmental research. This 16-month program structure includes two academic terms, followed by a third term dedicated to completing a Major Research Paper (MRP) on a student-selected global governance topic, and concludes with a fourth-term internship in governmental, corporate, research, or non-governmental organizations focused on global governance challenges. Participants also benefit from various international exchange programs. Today's interconnected world grapples with multifaceted global issues ranging from peacekeeping efforts and humanitarian emergencies to economic disparities and ecological transformations.
