Qualification Requirements

Individuals who possess a four-year non-professional Bachelor's degree in architectural studies, environmental design, or a comparable degree focusing on the built environment may qualify for admission into the Master of Architecture program with advanced standing. Students admitted with advanced standing status will be placed into the third semester of the 3 year program, reducing the duration of their studies to 2 years.
A degree from a recognized university with a mid-B average in the final year of study is required. All advanced standing applicants must have previously completed (at minimum) three architectural design studio courses, two courses in visual communications or representation, two courses in architecture history and theory (one in 20th century), and two courses in architectural technology and ecology. Meeting the minimum requirements for advanced standing does not guarantee placement.
