The Environmental Building Sciences graduate certificate is a one-year program that equips students with expertise in managing indoor environmental conditions across a building's lifespan. This includes detecting, analyzing, and resolving environmental issues within structures. The curriculum covers building science principles, sustainable design, energy efficiency strategies, environmental regulations, air/water quality assessment, hazardous material evaluation, testing procedures, risk communication, and professional reporting. Hands-on learning through labs, case studies, and practical exercises forms a core component. During the final term, students tackle a capstone project addressing current environmental challenges in buildings. Industry professionals helped shape this program's development.
